Corner and face extrusions are used in any applications where closed surfaces are required. The advantages of these are that they improve the appearance of the structures and also minimize the buildup of dirt. Extrusions can be fitted onto the closed faces by drilling holes in the outer face of the extrusion at the required points and using AC32–... type threaded plates. The small lugs inside the extrusion guide the plates.
